Specifically engineered for JBL MS-Basspro SQ, the design of a square diapghragma allows the Cone area to radiate the maximum and output bass for this compact and strong subwoofer system. This is not an off-the-self design. Conversely, JBL technicians combine this exclusive design from the bottom up for this product. Because the square covers the area more than the same circle and width, this woofer diaphragm performs like a larger diaphragm, even though the same compact as a standard 10 -inch cone subwoofer.
Closed bass reflex
Bass-Reflex Ms-Basspro SQ (or "Porting) of enclosure allows the speakers and ports to complement each other at the adjusted frequency, thereby increasing the overall bass output. This also maximizes the effectiveness of a built-in amplifier to provide power in the frequency range Where other cage design requires more power for similar outputs. In short, this gives bass that other powerful devices only want it.
Slipstream ™ Ports
Slipstream port is a special feature of MS-Basspro SQ. This dual flare port eliminates the sound of ventilation even at high sound pressure levels - characteristics that are not possessed by other bass -reflexes. Because air velocity in the port can be substantial when bass output increases, Slipstream design ensures you only hear rich bass and not "chuffing" air out of the port. This is a feature that is also found in high-end JBL speakers and quality studios, and this makes the bass from MS-Basspro SQ quite impressive.
Innovative, signal input with broad scope
MS Basspro SQ (with an RCA adapter included) receives up to 20 volts of input signals, from line-level signals or speaker levels. This means an easy connection to any car audio system - OEM or aftermarket. No need to worry whether the subwoofer system can be connected in your car because it will definitely be connected.
Features that can be activated for signal sensors
MS-Basspro SQ has a long-distance signal editing feature. When activated, this allows MS-Basspro SQ to turn on when the head unit sends the audio signal. This feature is useful in many installation using the factory head unit that may not have a special analog sending cable. Turn-on options are easy to turn off for aftermarket head units that have a special turn-on cable. This is another way in Chich MS-Basspro SQ engineering to work easily with any car audio system.
Input level, low pass crossover, bass boost and adjustment to the phase
MS-Basspro SQ includes various adjustments that allow users to adjust the performance of the system to their preferences. The input level control is completely in accordance with the input signal to the built-in amplifier for bass output that is not optimally distorted. Low-pass onboard crossover varies between 50Hz and 120Hz, so it will mingle well with other speakers in the vehicle. Bass Boost (0 to + 12Decibles at 40Hz) and Phase control 0 or 180 degrees help maximize the performance of MS-Basspro SQ, no matter where it is installed in a vehicle no matter what music style you choose.
