JBL Land on Roblox provides a creative space for expression through the virtual world of 'Sound'!
Jakarta, 27 March 2024</strong - JBL presents JBL Land, a new Roblox world that invites players to discover, produce and celebrate their personal 'Sound'. JBL Land welcomes Roblox users and JBL fans to explore a world where music, gaming and creativity meet. Roblox users can freely express themselves through sound which is reflected through unique avatar and game personalisation.
"By bringing JBL Land to Roblox, we are giving players a platform to express themselves digitally through sound. Players can not only explore their surroundings, but also have the freedom to customise their avatars and uniquely express their identities with the 'Voice'," said Daniel Lee, Chief Marketing Officer at JBL. "As the JBL brand enters the Roblox virtual world, we are taking new opportunities to more actively work with brands and make them more accessible to the masses. We are excited to enter the Roblox virtual world as it allows us to connect with a new generation of audio lovers on a new platform."
Voice, style and self-expression
JBL Land is designed as a dynamic place where users can play games, as well as acquire and discover 'Soundbytes'. These short snippets of sound - which can be anything from reggaeton rhythms, puppy noises or the iconic JBL 'Power-up' sound, can be combined by players to create their own unique tracks. Players can then add their sounds to Jukeboxes scattered around the neighbourhood, where they can be discovered and enjoyed by other players. In this way, JBL Land's soundtrack is created by the community, and the Jukeboxes act as mini stages where everyone gets the spotlight.
The world within will also feature a JBL Shop to shop for products, where players can use their JBLZ or Robux currency to purchase exclusive virtual items such as headphones and portable speakers for avatars, which will enhance their Roblox gaming experience.
Special seasonal games & activations
JBL Land offers three dynamic games, designed to provide a fun and engaging experience to showcase the power of sound. Players can explore each of these debut games with more content to be rolled out as JBL Land grows. As part of the launch, JBL teamed up with creator Robuilds to create a short film produced entirely in JBL Land, which will take viewers on an immersive adventure.
